Solemn Isolation by SnapperRod Solemn Isolation by SnapperRod
A lone bench overlooking Castle Campbell, a 15th century castle, with later additions, located in Clackmannan, Scotland. Built on a high mound and set in the woodland of Dollar Glen, it has steep ravines on three sides and the first sighting through the trees is quite breathtaking.
Shot location is point ‘A’ on the map: [link]

Lovely image. That's a steep old climb to get to that seat - I remember doing it on the mountain bike once. Well worth the efforts though

I done it the easy way, on the motorbike to the top and then walked back! The view was worth the ride

I'm so pleased to read this Rod.
It would be a dream for me and my hubby to see beautiful Scotland.

Sure is Lyn, I parked my bum and sat for a wee while, very pleasant and peaceful indeed. Mind you, come the summer, when all the trees are in full bloom, probably won't see much of the castle.

I will be going back as this place has quite a few walking trails leading up to the castle that could be interesting.
